Documentary by Enrique Sanchez Lansch examining the history of the Berlin Philharmonic, led by Wilhelm Furtwängler, during 1933-1945. Using archive material, along with the testimony of the witnesses of that time, the film presents some of the outstanding members of the orchestra and their fates and examines the role played in Nazi Germany's propaganda machine.
