"Falstaff" is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi. It was first performed on 9 February 1893 at La Scala, Milan. The libretto was written by Arrigo Boito and is based on Shakespeare's "The Merry Wives of Windsor" and scenes from Henry IV, Part 1 and Part 2.

The opera follows the misadventures of Sir John Falstaff, a fat and jovial knight who tries to win the hearts of two married women, only to be tricked and humiliated by them in the end. The music is considered some of Verdi's best, particularly for its wit, humor, and memorable melodies.

"Falstaff" is one of Verdi's later works and is considered a comic masterpiece. It was well received by audiences and critics at the time of its premiere and continues to be popular today.
